Next up in our series Meet the Team, we introduce the people behind the solar system of AQUON One: Matthieu and his team from CSEM. Matthieu Despeisse is a solar energy enthusiast. He believes that the large deployment of cost-effective and reliable photovoltaic (PV) systems is a logical step towards solving some of our global ecologic challenges. He is proud to be part of the AQUON One team, which is working towards bringing tailored, durable, and practical solar energy harvesting solutions into the maritime environment.

A promising and reassuring event took place on Thursday, 25 March during the Ocean Week conference which was held in Monaco. Promising and reassuring it is for all those working on sustainable solutions for the future of transport and leisure, and for all those caring for the wellbeing of our very own planet. The general theme of the day for this annual event was announced as “New energy sources and carbon emissions: Yachting looks to its future”.

Martin is very proud to have been chosen to realize the interior of AQUON One. He sees himself at the interface between clients, interior designers, naval architects, all involved engineers, and of course the craftsmen. He aims to fully realize the given interior design, while at the same time looking after all technical and other requirements to guarantee the client impeccable function and superior comfort.

Yachting is about those moments. The feeling when you stand on deck, wind in your hair, flying over the water and looking out over the ocean, seeing the sun reflected in the waves for as far as your eyes reach. It is about a connection with nature and the sea.
